EGA’s building programme is progressing on time and without too much major disruption. The ground work has been completed and the building is starting to emerge from the ground which is very exciting to see and be part of.
We are making good use of having a building site on our grounds by using it as a teaching resource, for example, in Maths, students will be analysing data produced on the materials used on site, and in Geography Balfour Beatty employees will talk to students on sustainability issues supporting coursework in year 10.
There is also art work displayed on the inside hoardings. These have given us an impressive display space for pieces from our photography club.
When we come back for the start of next term we will really see the building taking shape as work continues on planning the inside space, to make it a fantastic building for us all to use in November 2012.
