• History of EGA

  EGA is formed from an amalgamation of different schools at various times in the past. In this gallery is a sample of photos. Various records are in our possession and the Library staff are attempting to put together a comprehensive history of EGA and the schools that were to become EGA. Compiling a chronological history is proving complicated with so many different records from different sites!

  A school has existed on the present site in Risinghill Street since 1883. Our earliest records date from Barnsbury School 1904.
  Our Library staff  have created four different tumblr sites, one for each of the schools which were eventually to become Elizabeth Garrett Anderson. On these sites we hope to add all the items in our possession.
