We aim to provide you with useful information about your daughter’s progress during her school career. At the start of each key stage (Year 7 and Year 10) students will be given a target level/grade. This is the minimum level/grade we expect your daughter to achieve by the end of that key stage (Year 9 and Year 11). The target level or grade is based on prior attainment and national progress information. These targets will be increased for students who make excellent progress.
You will be told what your daughter’s target levels/grades are.
During each academic year you will receive a progress review sheet stating your daughter’s current attainment in each subject. This will show National Curriculum levels 3 to 7 in Years 7,8 and 9 with sub level a, b and c to better show progress.
a. means secure at that level with aspects of the next level b. means secure at that level c. means working at that level but with some areas of work at the previous level
In Years 10 and 11 the progress review will show attainment by current GCSE grade which may be based on coursework assignments, classwork, modular exam results or internal exam results.
We will also put her target levels/grades on this sheet so you can see how well she is achieving.
You will also receive a profile which will give you information about your daughter’s attainment in each subject as well as comments by her teachers and tutors as to how she is working and how she can improve her learning.
You will be invited to a Parents Evening each year to discuss your daughter’s progress with her subject teachers and a Partners in Learning Day where you can discuss her school performance with her tutor.
