About us

Who We Are

At the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson (EGA) School Charity, we’re here to support and enrich the lives of students at EGA by opening up educational opportunities, promoting wellbeing, and helping build strong, lasting pathways to bright futures.

Our work is rooted in the values we share as a community; equality, empowerment, and aspiration. We’re committed to breaking down barriers that might stand in the way of a student’s journey, so every young person feels supported, encouraged, and able to thrive.

Through generous fundraising, meaningful partnerships, and the strength of our community, we’re working together to offer opportunities and resources that go beyond what core school funding can provide.

What We Do

Everything we do is about helping EGA students flourish, in school and beyond.

We focus on:

  • Enriching learning with extra resources and inspiring extracurricular opportunities
  • Offering bursaries and financial support so no student misses out, whatever their circumstances
  • Supporting mentoring and career development to help students dream big and plan for the future
  • Building strong connections between the school, its alumni, and the wider EGA community

We believe that every young person deserves access to a rich, inclusive education — and together, we’re making that possible.

Our Partnership with EGA School

We work hand in hand with Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School, sharing a deep commitment to the success and wellbeing of its students.

While the Charity is independent, our partnership is guided by a shared vision. A Memorandum of Understanding helps us stay aligned with the school’s priorities, while ensuring clear boundaries and good governance. Together, we’re creating more opportunities and brighter futures for every student at EGA
