For my undergraduate degree, I attended Queen Mary University to study History and Politics; for my Masters, I studied Government, Policy and Politics at Birkbeck University
Briefly describe yourself:
I wear several hats in the Politics space, working as a political researcher and also an elected councillor. I also sit as a trustee for two different charities, and when time permits, I speak on panels and host events covering all things politics and current affairs.
As a councillor, my work is done on a voluntary basis – I enjoy helping my residents to solve their complex issues, and advocating on their behalf.
I sit on several boards representing fellow carers and influencing policies and strategies that will help improve the lives of carers and their cared for person.
I also support young people interested in politics, offering support, advice, and shadowing opportunities where possible.
My experience at EGA was memorable and whilst there were moments which weren’t always positive, it did shape the woman I am today. Students across different year groups always supported each other, and it truly felt like a family, making life-long friends, and memories. All the teachers too were very supportive of my education and knew I would become a future leader one day! A special shout out to Ms Bonsu – she brought out my passion for politics that I didn’t even know I had, and the rest was history.
