Media Studies

Media Studies is a popular one-year option subject available to be studied from Year 9. The subject is new this year and we are looking forward to our first set of results in summer 2019.

The course looks critically at media products, both contemporary and historical, and asks students to consider the ways in which these products communicate meaning to their audiences. Students also get the opportunity to make their own media product as part of the course.

We follow the new Eduqas Media Studies GCSE 1-9 curriculum.

You can find a copy of the specification here.
