This week, Year 7 took part in a French and Spanish Spelling Bee. Five students from each class had to stand up in front of the whole language cohort and spell out as many French or Spanish words as they could in one minute in the target language alphabet .

The students showed huge courage to perform in front of their peers in a foreign language; one student said, 'I was so scared before it, but I'm very happy I did it!'

Congratulations to all participating students. The French winner was Sumiya, and the Spanish winner was Kelly.
