Posted on: 11/12/2019Ex Year 11 Students ReturnThere was lots of laughter, hugs and excitement as our outgoing year 11 students returned to pick up their GCSE certificates. We caught up with some of them to find out how they are finding life after EGA. Some of our findings: Students were attending a wide range of colleges including Westminster Kingsway College, City and Islington College and City of Westminster. Most of them were finding their new colleges “good” and one student added that A Levels were challenging but that the experience of college was really enjoyable. Asked if they missed anything about EGA, there was a variety of responses: The teachers, friends and the school social life and PE. We wish them all the best as they continue with their studies.
Posted on: 21/11/2019Winter Attendance DriveThe most successful students attend school on time every day. In order to support these good habits, we are going to have an Attendance Drive in the first two weeks of December. Every student who achieves 100% attendance and gets no late marks between Monday 2 December and Friday 13 December will be entered into a prize draw. In the final assembly of the term, one student in each house will be picked to win a hamper of seasonal goodies to share with their family. Remember: you have to be in to win!

Year 8 students Elizabeth, Esther, Dominika, Nishat, Paris and Hannah were excited to see exactly how many potatoes we had managed to grow in the EGA community garden. Girls then took their produce to the dining hall to sell to the school kitchen. The potatoes will be used in school lunch recipes this week. Thanks to the girls for their enthusiasm and commitment to the community.
