Posted on: 27/03/2026Without limits Day Coal Drop YardFor without limits day the whole of the Year 7 cohort spent the day exploring the local area of Coal Drop Yard, St Pancreas Gardens and Cubit Park. Using the environment to complete worksheets in their booklets. Including writing poems, creating sketches and observing their surroundings. The weather stayed beautiful and we all had a wonderful day out. A very success day.
Posted on: 20/03/2026Curriculum Workshop at Hogan LovellsAll Year 8 students have been able to attend a careers in the curriculum workshop at Hogan Lovells this term. Insight into Law offers students an overview of careers available in law and within a law firm. Students were also able to experience negotiating a deal on behalf of either Pixar studios or Zendaya! We were so impressed with the questions and level of engagement that our students demonstrated in a professional working environment - Well done!
Posted on: 18/03/2026Made for this Game Breaking BarriersOn Wednesday, we were incredibly fortunate to welcome Ian Wright and Sue Day to take part in a powerful workshop based on Made of This Game: Breaking Barriers. The session, supported by Ms Carter, who encouraged our students to reflect deeply on the impact of body image, social media, and gender stereotypes on girls’ participation in sport—particularly football. Our students engaged thoughtfully throughout, raising insightful points and contributing to meaningful discussions on these important issues. Ian Wright praised the confidence and clarity with which they expressed their views, highlighting how impressive it was to hear such well-articulated perspectives on a topic that continues to have a significant impact on girls in sport.
Posted on: 12/03/2026International Womens Day AssemblyEGA celebrated International Women's Day this year around the theme of #GivetoGain. Students were addressed by our School Charity, EGA Alumni, Ms Beagley, Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl about coming together as a community, lifting each other up, giving each other space to be authentic, kind and support others. Students reflected on how they can give back to the school community in positive ways. Happy International Women's Day EGA.
Posted on: 3/03/2026Y11 Sociology visit to SOAS UniversityLast week the Year 11 Sociology students attended SOAS University for a day filled with workshops on feminist debates in society. They also had the opportunity to tour the university, which included seeing the Mughal Exhibition and their library with a collection of over 1.3 million books. The day was led by Student Ambassadors that were first and second year students studying a range of degrees, including anthropology and finance. Students also had a further education talk led by the head of student experience and got to ask questions about courses, university life and what their next steps as sociologists could look like.
