On Wednesday, we were incredibly fortunate to welcome Ian Wright and Sue Day to take part in a powerful workshop based on Made of This Game: Breaking Barriers. The session, supported by Ms Carter, who encouraged our students to reflect deeply on the impact of body image, social media, and gender stereotypes on girls’ participation in sport—particularly football. Our students engaged thoughtfully throughout, raising insightful points and contributing to meaningful discussions on these important issues. Ian Wright praised the confidence and clarity with which they expressed their views, highlighting how impressive it was to hear such well-articulated perspectives on a topic that continues to have a significant impact on girls in sport.
